Jafra was the first design and the story that became the foundation of our brand It carries the story of a Palestinian love that was never completed between a Palestinian woman and a Palestinian poet There are different stories about how their love came to an end Some say Jafra married someone else after her family refused the poet while others say she disappeared from his life leaving him calling out Jafra W Heya Ya Al Rabe Those words eventually became poetry and then a song that has been passed from one generation to another and is still sung at Palestinian celebrations and gatherings today Through the years Jafra became more than just a name She became a symbol of the beautiful Palestinian woman in poetry music and folklore Just as Layla became an unforgettable name in Arabic poetry and Juliet became an iconic name in Western love stories Jafra carries a love story from Palestine that deserves to be known around the world Our idea was to take something people have heard for generations and tell them the story behind it To carry a message from Palestine to the world about our history our stories and the meaning behind the words that have lived among us for generations The design carries the phrase Jafra W Heya Ya Al Rabe alongside the map of Palestine presented in the modern watermelon colors that represent the colors of the Palestinian flag The design is completed with details inspired by traditional Palestinian embroidery bringing together the love story the land and the heritage behind Jafra This is where our brand started With a Palestinian story that never reached its ending but became timeless through generations
