The Story Behind
Feda'i
تيشيرت فدائي
A simple design with a powerful meaning centered around the word itself A Fedai can be found everywhere in the world a fighter who dedicates his life to defending what belongs to him whether that is himself his land or the people closest to him But in Palestine the Fedai carries a special symbolism that has existed throughout Palestinian history For generations every Palestinian has naturally carried the spirit of the Feda'i and this word has remained alive and deeply rooted in Palestinian identity until today The first call in the Palestinian national anthem is Fedai In Palestinian songs the Fedai is remembered and celebrated Even the Palestinian national football team is known around the world as Al Feda’i This design was created around the word Al Fedai wrapped in the Palestinian keffiyeh and carried proudly on the chest On the back the keffiyeh is shown in its original historical way of wearing it just as it appeared throughout Palestinian history and presented in a large size that allows the person wearing it to stand out even among a crowd Through this design we want to carry this symbol forward and show the world that the spirit and symbolism of the Fedai will continue and remain timeless
